Play Agar.io free online: grow your cell by eating pellets and rivals, split to strike, and dodge bigger cells to survive.
Agario
Agar.io drops you into a petri dish full of other players, all trying to do the same thing: eat enough to become the biggest blob on the map without getting swallowed first. You start as a small dot drifting through a field of colored pellets. Every pellet you absorb adds a little mass, and every player smaller than you is fair game — touch them and they’re gone, added to your total. The catch is that anyone bigger than you is thinking the exact same thing about you.
A round has no fixed length and no finish line, just a leaderboard in the corner that tells you how you stack up. Early on the game is calm, nudging your cell toward clusters of pellets while giving wide berth to anything larger. Once you’ve put on some size, it gets tactical: split to lunge across the map and snap up a fleeing rival, or shed mass on purpose to slip away faster when something huge is bearing down on you. Green spiked viruses sit around the map waiting to pop an overconfident giant into pieces, so growing big is an advantage right up until it’s a liability.
Controls
- Move the mouse to steer your cell
- Space — split your cell in two
- W — eject a small blob of mass
Tips that actually help
- Don’t rush into the crowded center of the map early — the edges have fewer big cells hunting and more free pellets.
- Splitting doubles your cell count but each half is more vulnerable; only split to catch prey or escape, not for fun.
- Watch for viruses (the spiky green circles) once you’re large — bumping into one at high mass splits you apart, often right in front of whoever was chasing you.
- Ejecting mass toward a smaller cell you trust can be a way to build an ally who’ll return the favor later.
