Alpha Guns
Alpha Guns is a side-scrolling run-and-gun shooter built in the spirit of Metal Slug: you push right through short, cramped levels, gunning down waves of soldiers while metal slugs, grenades, and the occasional turret keep the screen busy. There’s no cover system and no slowing down to plan — you’re either shooting the thing in front of you or getting hit by it.
Each stage escalates from scattered foot soldiers to tighter squads and a boss fight at the end, so the game rewards staying mobile and reading enemy spawns rather than camping in one spot. It’s a short-session shooter built for reflexes over strategy.

Tips that actually help
- Aim with the up/down keys before an enemy is on screen — Alpha Guns doesn’t auto-aim, so pre-aiming at head height saves the half-second it takes to react.
- Jumping breaks line of sight for ground troops but exposes you to anything shooting from above, so don’t jump on reflex near stairs or platforms.
- Boss fights punish standing still more than they punish missed shots — keep moving left-right even while you’re lining up a shot.
