Blast Buddies drops you into fast, arena-sized shootouts where the goal is simple: outgun everyone else before they outgun you. Pick a mode — free-for-all if you’d rather answer to no one, or team deathmatch if you want three teammates covering your back — then it’s straight into a map full of cover, sightlines, and other players who are all just as trigger-happy as you are. Rounds are short, respawns are quick, and a match rarely runs long enough to get boring.

Before each match you choose a loadout: a primary weapon, a sidearm, and one special ability, so no two runs feel identical. Destructible cover changes the map as a fight goes on, sliding lets you duck under fire or close distance fast, and if you’d rather build than just shoot, the in-game editor lets you put together your own layouts. Win rounds and rack up playtime to unlock character skins along the way.

Controls

Keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys to move, spacebar to jump, C to slide, mouse to aim and left-click to fire. R reloads, 1 and 2 swap between your primary and secondary weapon, and Shift or 3 triggers your special ability. Tab pulls up the scoreboard, Escape pauses.

Touch: on phone and tablet you get dedicated on-screen buttons for aim, fire, reload, jump, and slide, plus quick taps for pause, scoreboard, and chat.

Tips that actually help

• Slide through doorways and around corners instead of walking — it’s a smaller target profile and it closes distance faster than a normal sprint.
• Shoot through weakened cover once it starts breaking apart; players who are still hiding behind it often don’t realize it’s no longer blocking shots.
• Swap to your sidearm mid-fight if your primary is mid-reload rather than waiting it out in the open — the weapon-switch is instant.
• In team deathmatch, save your special ability for when your team pushes together rather than popping it solo; the payoff is bigger with backup nearby.
