Escape From School is a 3D parkour-adventure platformer that challenges your timing and navigation skills. Starting out trapped in school detention after falling asleep in class, you must find a way through the building’s hallways, classrooms, and labyrinthine ventilation shafts. Every section is packed with obstacles, traps, and patrolling bosses determined to stop your getaway.
As you progress across multiple chapters, the escape routes lead you through different environments, including city streets, an amusement park, and a cafeteria. You can tackle these challenges in solo story mode, play with friends in online multiplayer, or try out the stealthy Hide and Seek mode. Collect coins along the way to buy new outfits and skins at the in-game market.
Controls
Interact with the 3D environment using the following keyboard and mouse inputs, or touch controls on mobile:
Desktop Keyboard & Mouse
- Move: Use the W, A, S, D keys or the Arrow keys.
- Jump: Press the Spacebar.
- Look & Aim: Move the mouse cursor to look around and control the camera direction.
- Zoom & Camera Mode: Scroll the Mouse Wheel to zoom in or out. Zooming in completely enters First-Person (FPS) mode.
- Respawn: Press the R key to manually restart from your last savepoint.
Mobile & Tablet Touch
- Move: Drag the virtual joystick on the left half of the screen.
- Jump: Tap the virtual jump button on the right side.
- Look Around: Drag your finger on the right side of the screen to adjust the camera angle.
Gameplay Tips
- Activate Savepoints: Step onto checkpoint pads as you advance. If you hit a hazard or get caught by a boss, you will immediately restart at your last activated savepoint rather than the beginning of the chapter.
- Toggle FPS Mode: When dealing with narrow beams, complex jumps, or crawling through air vents, zoom in completely to switch to First-Person mode. This aligns your camera directly with your movement vector, making precise platforming much easier.
- Study Boss Movement: Boss characters patrol on set waypoint paths. Instead of rushing past them, wait at a safe distance to observe their patterns, then sprint past once they turn their back.
