Hobo drops you into the shoes of an unwashed street brawler with nothing to lose, working through a city block by block and picking fights with anyone unlucky enough to be standing nearby. It’s a straightforward beat-’em-up at heart: walk into a crowd, throw hands, and see who’s left standing.
What makes it stick is how filthy it gets. Combos aren’t clean martial-arts strings — string hits together and the screen flashes to unlock a new move, and before long you’re punching, kicking, spitting, and vomiting your way through pedestrians, grabbing bottles and trash cans off the ground to swing when your fists aren’t enough. Each new stretch of city throws more and tougher enemies at you, building toward a boss fight before you move on.

Tips that actually help
- Keep landing hits before the combo meter drops — standing around resets your progress toward the next unlocked move.
- Grab a bottle or bin the second one’s in reach; thrown or swung, they clear a crowd faster than fists alone.
- Sprint to close the gap on a group, then switch to punches and kicks once you’re in range — running straight through enemies just gets you surrounded.
