SparkanoidBounce the ball with your paddle to smash 48 levels of blocks in Sparkanoid, a Breakout-style brick breaker with fireballs, lasers, and other power-ups.
Sparkanoid
Sparkanoid is a classic brick-breaking arcade game from CoolGames’ Tingly Games studio, built on the same bounce-and-break formula as Breakout and Arkanoid. A paddle at the bottom of the screen keeps a ball in play, and every block it knocks loose brings you closer to clearing the level.
Each level opens on a fresh grid of blocks; missing the ball costs a life, and staying alive long enough to see the last few bricks fall is often the tensest part of a run. Power-ups drop out of destroyed blocks and change how the next few seconds play — some help, some make things harder, so grabbing one always carries a bit of risk.
Controls
Move the mouse, or drag a finger on touchscreens, to slide the paddle left and right, and click or tap to launch the ball. It’s mouse and touch only — there’s no keyboard control.
Tips that actually help
- The laser power-up mounts two guns on your paddle so you can shoot blocks directly instead of waiting for a bounce — grab it when a level’s bricks are scattered and hard to reach.
- The sticky power-up catches the ball on your paddle instead of bouncing it off, giving you a moment to line up your next shot before launching again.
- Not every falling power-up helps: a shrinking paddle or a sudden speed boost on the ball makes the level harder, so don’t scoop up every capsule blindly if you’re already struggling to keep up.
- The fireball power-up turns your ball red and lets it punch straight through a row of blocks instead of stopping at the first one — save it for a thick cluster.
Sparkanoid’s levels are grouped into four 12-level chapters on a level-select map, so you can clear a chapter at a time instead of committing to one long run.
