Touchdowners is a chaotic, physics-based American football game that throws realism completely out the window. Instead of running plays and managing a roster, you control a team of three wildly flailing players at the same time. The goal is simple: grab the football and carry, bounce, or hurl it into the opponent’s endzone before they do the same to you.
Every match is a hilarious scramble of jumping, swinging arms, and unpredictable bounces. The physics engine ensures that no two plays are ever the same, whether you’re leaping over a pile of defenders or accidentally throwing the ball backwards in a panic. You can play through the arcade mode against increasingly difficult CPU teams, or grab a friend for head-to-head local multiplayer.
Controls
The game uses just three inputs per player to control the entire team:
- Player 1 (Keyboard): Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move your team. Press the Up Arrow Key to pass the ball or jump.
- Player 2 (Keyboard): Use Z and X to move, and C to pass or jump (alternatively, A/D to move, W to jump/pass).
- Mobile/Touch: Tap the on-screen left and right arrows to move, and tap the pass button to throw or jump.
Tips for Winning
- Jump constantly: Your players move much faster and hit harder when they’re airborne. Bouncing across the field is often the best way to break through the opponent’s defensive line.
- Pass over the pile: If your lead player gets stuck in a cluster of opponents, hit the pass button to launch the ball over their heads. Your trailing teammates will automatically try to catch it and keep the drive alive.
- Defend the endzone: If the other team has the ball and is getting close, stop pressing forward and let your team drop back. You only need one player in the way to block a touchdown and steal the ball back.
