- Pick a corner and stick to it: The most reliable strategy is to keep your highest-value tile in one of the four corners (usually the bottom right or bottom left). Never swipe in the direction that would move this tile out of its corner.
- Build a chain: Try to arrange your tiles in descending order leading away from your corner. This allows you to easily chain merges together once a new high-value tile is created.
- Keep the board clean: Don't just swipe randomly to see what happens. Every move introduces a new 2 or 4 tile to the board, so make sure each swipe accomplishes a merge to keep your grid as open as possible.
