In AntWar.io, you start as a solitary queen ant tasked with building a massive underground empire from scratch. You begin by scouting the terrain for the perfect spot to dig your nest, managing distinct soil types to store food safely and incubate your eggs. The early game focuses heavily on establishing a steady food supply by gathering meat and leaves, which you use to spawn your first generation of worker ants.

Once your initial workforce is established, the pace picks up as you coordinate your colony to forage, defend the nest, and launch tactical strikes against rival players. You will need to carefully balance resource collection with military expansion, swarming dangerous insects like spiders and eventually attacking enemy queens to eliminate competing colonies and dominate the server.

Tips that actually help

Pick the right soil: Dig your nest in light-colored soil to keep food from spoiling quickly, and use dark-colored soil to help your eggs incubate faster.
Workers over nanitics: Do not waste early resources on weak nanitics. Save up for worker ants, which are much more efficient at foraging and have better survivability.
Do not solo bugs: Avoid engaging aggressive insects like spiders early on. Wait until you have a group of at least 4-5 worker ants to safely swarm and defeat them without taking heavy losses.
Play the tutorial: Before jumping into a multiplayer server, run through the singleplayer tutorial to get a solid grasp of how digging, foraging, and spawning work.
