Play Bad Ice-Cream, the classic Nitrome maze game — shoot ice blocks to trap monsters and grab every piece of fruit before they catch you.
Bad Ice-Cream
Bad Ice-Cream drops you into a maze as a scoop-headed ice cream character with one job: grab every piece of fruit scattered around the level before three roaming monsters get to you first. There’s no combo meter or power-up shop here — just a tight grid, a handful of fruit, and enemies that home in on you the moment you hesitate.
Your only tool is ice. Shooting a block out in front of you lets you bridge gaps of water or lava, wall off a corridor a monster is charging down, or slide the block straight into an enemy to take it out. Getting the fruit is rarely the hard part — reading the maze fast enough to block the right path before a monster reaches you is. Levels escalate through a full pack, each one a fresh layout with its own hazard placement and monster patterns, so a shortcut that worked two levels ago can trap you cold on the next.
Controls
- Move: Arrow keys
- Shoot/push ice block: Spacebar
- Touch: on-screen joystick to move, with a tap button to fire an ice block
Tips that actually help
- Don’t try to outrun a monster — shoot a block into its path instead. A block that slides into an enemy takes it out on contact.
- Grab fruit near a monster’s spawn point early. They wander toward open fruit constantly, and circling back later often means it’s already gone.
- Think one block ahead before you fire. An ice block over water opens a shortcut, but it can just as easily seal off your own escape route if you place it wrong.
Appreciate the tips, this helped me improve my run.
