Bad Ice-Cream 3 puts you in charge of a walking scoop of ice cream — vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry — sent through icy stages to clear every piece of fruit before a monster catches you. Nitrome built the series around one rule: you can’t attack anything directly. You break blocks of ice out of your path and freeze new ones behind you, using the terrain itself to trap enemies and carve a route to the fruit.

Each stage is really a short puzzle disguised as a chase. The layout tells you which ice blocks a monster’s route depends on, and the fun is reading that fast enough to seal it off before it reaches you. A second player can drop in and clear a board together, splitting up the fruit and covering each other’s blind spots across the game’s 40 levels.

Controls

  • Move: Arrow keys or WASD
  • Break / place ice: Space bar

On touchscreens, on-screen buttons take over for movement and the ice action.

Tips that actually help

  • Break the block in a monster’s path, not the one under your own feet — it strands the monster instead of just clearing your way.
  • Grab the fruit closest to where enemies are heading first; leaving it for last usually means fighting through a trap you built yourself.
  • Playing two-player, split the level instead of both chasing the same fruit — you clear boards faster and can box a monster in from two sides.

It’s a good pick if you like puzzle games with a timer but no reflex-testing jumps — the challenge is in reading the board, not reacting fast.
