Battle for the Galaxy drops you into a free-to-play space strategy game where you build up a base, manage resources, and go to war with other commanders. You start with a small outpost and gradually add over 20 different buildings — mines, defenses, barracks — while training troops and researching upgrades to grow into a serious military power. It’s a session that rewards patience: queue up builds and troop training, then log back in to spend your new resources and push your base further.

Combat is where the game earns its name. You raid other players’ bases to steal Titanium, defend your own base against incoming attacks, and work through around 50 singleplayer missions against AI opponents to practice tactics before you take them online. Joining a corporation adds a cooperative layer — corp mates can send reinforcement troops to help defend your base when you’re offline, and you can trade tips on how to balance offense and defense.

Controls

Battle for the Galaxy is played entirely with the mouse. Left-click buildings to select, upgrade, or collect from them, left-click empty tiles to place new construction, and left-click enemy targets during a raid to deploy and direct your troops.

Tips that actually help
