Battleship War brings the classic naval combat guessing game directly to your screen. You start by secretly placing your fleet of vessels across a grid, hiding them from your opponent. Once the board is set, it becomes a tactical shootout as you trade shots blindly into enemy waters, trying to uncover and sink their hidden ships before your own fleet is destroyed.
The core loop is pure strategy and deduction. Every time you score a hit, you gain a vital clue about how the enemy ship is oriented, letting you narrow down your next few shots. A miss, on the other hand, means you have wasted a turn but eliminated a spot on the map. The tension builds with every turn as the grids fill up with hit and miss markers, racing against the opponent to claim total victory.

Mouse or Touch: Click or tap to place your ships during the setup phase, and then click or tap on the enemy grid to fire your shots.
Tips that actually help
- Don’t cluster your ships: Spread your fleet out during the setup phase. If you place them all in one corner, a lucky strike by your opponent will let them quickly sink multiple vessels.
- Hunt in a checkerboard pattern: Since the smallest ship takes up two squares, firing in a checkerboard pattern ensures you will eventually hit every ship on the board while saving ammo.
- Follow up on hits immediately: As soon as you land a hit, target the immediately adjacent squares (up, down, left, right) to determine which way the rest of the ship is facing.
