Block the Pig
Block the Pig is a quiet little strategy puzzle: a pig is loose on a hexagonal field, and every turn it takes one step toward the edge of the board. Your only tool is a single stone. Drop it on the hex the pig is heading for and it has to change direction — do that enough times in a row and the pig runs out of room before it runs out of board.
Each round hands you a fixed number of stones, so there’s no brute-forcing it by blocking every square. You have to read where the pig actually wants to go a couple of moves ahead and box it toward the center instead of just plugging the nearest gap, which is what makes later rounds noticeably tighter than the first few.
Controls
- Click or tap a hex tile to drop a stone on it
- No keyboard controls — the whole game is played with a mouse or a finger
Tips that actually help
- Watch which edge the pig is drifting toward and start closing that side early, rather than reacting one hex at a time.
- Stones placed near the center are cheap; save your last couple for cutting off the pig’s final escape lane once the field narrows.
- A wasted stone on a hex the pig was never going to reach is the most common way rounds run out early — place for its next move, not its current one.
