Bloons Super Monkey
Bloons Super Monkey is Ninja Kiwi’s arcade spin-off of the Bloons Tower Defense series, and it flips the formula around: instead of placing towers to defend a path, you take direct control of Super Monkey and pop the balloons yourself. He auto-fires darts at anything in range, so the whole game comes down to positioning him well and staying alive wave after wave.
Each wave throws a fresh swarm of Bloons at you, and popping enough of them earns a trophy — bronze is the minimum to survive, with silver and gold for stronger runs. What you pop drops Power Blops, which you spend between waves on upgrades along three different skill paths for Super Monkey. It’s a much faster, twitchier loop than the tower defense games: less planning ahead, more reacting in the moment.
Controls
Move the mouse to aim and reposition Super Monkey — he fires automatically, so there’s no separate attack button. Press Esc at any point during a wave to pause and open the upgrade screen, where you spend your Power Blops.
Tips that actually help
- Aim for bronze first on each wave before worrying about silver or gold — a game over from missing bronze wastes the whole run.
- Power Blops don’t stretch far. Committing to one of the three upgrade paths early tends to pay off faster than spreading points thin across all of them.
- Since Super Monkey only pops what’s near him, keep the cursor moving toward the thickest clusters of Bloons rather than sitting still and waiting.
- Use the Esc pause between waves to actually check your upgrade options — it’s easy to forget it’s there mid-swarm.
