Bloons Tower Defense is the classic strategy game that started the massively popular tower defense franchise. In this original release, your goal is simple: stop the waves of escaping balloons (bloons) from reaching the end of the track by strategically placing specialized monkey towers along the path.
The pacing starts slow with basic red balloons, but quickly ramps up as faster and tougher bloons appear. You must manage your starting funds carefully, placing a mix of Dart Monkeys, Tack Shooters, and Bomb Towers to build a defense capable of surviving all 50 rounds.
Controls
Everything is controlled with the mouse or touch screen. Click or tap on a tower from the menu on the right, then click again on a valid spot on the map to place it. Click placed towers to view their stats and sell them if needed.
Tips for Surviving
- Use curves wisely: Place Tack Shooters inside U-turns or corners so they can hit multiple parts of the track at once.
- Group your defenses: A Bomb Tower paired with an Ice Tower is a devastating combination, as the ice freezes bloons in place while the bombs deal heavy area damage.
- Save for Super Monkeys: While expensive, Super Monkeys fire incredibly fast and are essential for taking down the dense waves in the later rounds.
