Bomba
Bomba is a bomb-based puzzle platformer originally released by Nitrome in 2008, running here as an HTML5 conversion of the old Flash game. You guide a small character through thirty levels, grabbing bombs from spawners placed around each stage and using them to blast a path through enemies and patches of moss blocking the way forward.
Each level plays out as a self-contained puzzle rather than a straight run-and-jump stage: you click to act, then let the bomb do the work. Take a bomb from its spawner, carry it into position, and set it off next to whatever’s in the way. The spawner won’t produce another bomb until the one you took has already exploded, so it rewards planning your next move instead of grabbing explosives on reflex.

Tips
- Watch the spawner after taking a bomb — it stays on screen but turns transparent, and won’t refill until that bomb has gone off, so line up your next move before grabbing one
- Moss and enemies block your path rather than just sitting there for decoration — clear them with a bomb before trying to walk through
- Later levels add new hazards like water on top of the basic bomb-and-clear loop, so treat each stage as its own puzzle rather than repeating what worked on the last one
It’s a short, self-contained puzzle platformer best played in quick bursts — worth a look if you like Nitrome’s other browser games or bomb-based puzzle mechanics in general.
