Brain Test 4: Tricky Friends is the fourth entry in Unico Studio’s lateral-thinking puzzle series, and it keeps the format that made the first three popular: short riddles that look like ordinary logic or math questions but almost never have the answer you’d expect. This time the puzzles are built around a new cast of characters and some redecorating and customization touches between levels, but the core trick is unchanged — the obvious reading of the question is usually the wrong one.

A session is really a string of one-screen puzzles, each solved in seconds once you see the twist. You might be asked to find the biggest of several near-identical shapes, calm down a character who’s clearly upset, or rearrange objects on screen in a way the text never actually spells out. Nothing here is timed or scored beyond getting the level right, so the pace is entirely up to you — it’s a game for poking at one puzzle at a time rather than grinding for a high score.

Controls

  • Mouse — Click, drag, and hold objects on screen to interact with them
  • Touch — Tap, drag, and hold with your finger on phone or tablet

There’s no keyboard input — every puzzle is solved by selecting and moving things directly, which is why the game plays the same way on desktop and mobile.

Tips that actually help

  • Read each riddle literally before assuming what it’s asking. Brain Test puzzles are written so the plain, word-for-word meaning is the actual solution, not the puzzle-logic reading you’d expect from a normal quiz.
  • Try interacting with everything visible, not just the object the text seems to point at — the correct answer is often an element that looks like background decoration.
  • If dragging or tapping the obvious target does nothing, the level is telling you that’s not the trick. Move on to something else on screen instead of repeating the same action.
  • A level that seems impossible usually has a genuinely simple solution — the series leans on misdirection, not difficulty, so don’t overthink it.
