CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars turns you into a scrappy mechanic building ultimate fighting machines from spare parts. Instead of directly controlling your bot in combat, you spend your time in the garage designing the perfect vehicle. You snap together different chassis shapes, attach wheels, and equip weapons ranging from chainsaws to rocket launchers, hoping your creation has the right synergy to destroy whatever the opponent brings to the arena.
Once you enter a match, the battle plays out automatically. The tension comes from watching your design face off against enemy machines, seeing whether your low-profile wedge can flip their heavy tank, or if their long-range rockets will destroy your bot before it can get into melee range. Winning fights earns you boxes filled with new, upgraded parts to continually improve and redesign your vehicle.
Controls
- Mouse / Touch: Click and drag to snap parts onto your chassis in the garage, and navigate menus.
- Combat: Automatic. Fights resolve based entirely on the vehicle designs and physics.
Tips
- Physics matter: A chassis with a low center of gravity is harder to flip over. Lifting your opponent with a forklift or a wedge shape often renders their weapons useless.
- Weapon synergy: Don’t just slap on the strongest weapons. A stationary rocket launcher pairs well with a heavy, stable base that stays put, while melee weapons like chainsaws need fast wheels to close the distance quickly.
- Watch your power limit: Every chassis has an energy cap. You’ll often have to choose between equipping one massive weapon or multiple smaller gadgets, so balance your build around your available power.
