CombiMon is a small farm-building game about raising and combining colorful creatures. You start with three basic “mons” — a bug, a bird and a duck, each its own solid color — and the whole point of the game is mixing them: pair two different mons in a breeding pen and, over time, they produce a new mon whose color and pattern blend the two parents. Keep pairing the results together and the color combinations get more detailed with every generation.

A session is slow and low-pressure rather than fast-paced: you plant and tend fruit trees, pick the fruit before it spoils, and use it to keep your mons fed so they grow from egg to infant to teen to full adult and become eligible to breed again. Coins drop as your farm runs, which you spend on opening up more land for pens and trees. The other half of the loop is the collection log — every new color combination you produce is logged in a dex, and a few of the possible mons are rare “shiny” variants that only turn up occasionally.

Controls

CombiMon is played entirely with the mouse (or a finger on touchscreens) — there’s no keyboard input. Tap or click to pick fruit off trees, and drag mons into an open breeding pen to pair them.

Tips that actually help

Breed your basic mons in every combination you can before moving on to breeding hybrids together — the dex only fills in once you’ve actually produced each combination, and starting from the three base colors covers the most new entries per pairing.
Fruit rots if it sits too long, so pick trees regularly rather than letting a backlog build up; hungry mons take longer to mature.
Spend coins on new farm plots as soon as you can afford them. More space means more pens breeding at once, which is the main thing that speeds up filling the dex.
Shiny variants are a random chance on top of a normal breed, not something you can force — the more pairs you have running, the more rolls you get.
