Penalty Challenge is a two-role soccer shootout: one match you’re the kicker trying to beat the goalkeeper, the next you’re the one standing in the net trying to stop the shot. Pick a national team from the lineup, and the game alternates you between the two jobs round by round rather than sticking you on one side for the whole match.
As the striker, you click and drag from the ball, then release — the direction and length of that drag set where the ball goes and how hard it’s struck, so a short flick and a long pull produce very different shots. As the goalkeeper, you just move your mouse (or finger on touch) to slide the keeper’s gloves across the goal and get in front of the shot before it crosses the line, then tap the screen to send the opponent up to take their kick.
Controls
- Taking a shot: click/tap and drag from the ball, then release to kick — the drag sets both aim and power.
- Goalkeeping: move the mouse or your finger to slide the gloves across the goal and block the shot.
- Continuing as keeper: tap the screen to let the opponent’s turn play out.
Tips that actually help
- Go for the corners. The goal is split into a grid of target zones, and the four corners are where shots are most likely to beat the keeper — dead center is the zone the keeper covers best, so it’s the hardest place to score from.
- Vary your drag length between kicks. A goalkeeper AI that sees the same swipe speed every time gets better reads on your aim; mixing short, sharp drags with longer pulls keeps your shots harder to predict.
- When you’re in goal, start tracking the striker’s drag as soon as it begins rather than waiting for the ball to launch — the extra half-second of lead time is often the difference between a save and a goal.
