Plactions is a puzzle-platformer that hands you a strict, limited set of moves each level — jump, dash, flip gravity, or teleport — to reach the exit.
Plactions
Plactions turns platforming into a puzzle by taking away the one thing most platformers hand you for free: unlimited moves. Every level gives you a fixed stock of jumps, dashes, gravity flips, laser toggles, and portal teleports, shown as icons in the corner of the screen, and you have to reach the exit before you run out. Some levels scatter extra actions you can pick up along the way, but there’s no room to fumble a jump and just try again — each level is really a small logic puzzle about which move goes where, not a test of reflexes.
Because the toolkit changes from level to level, a stage that looks like a simple hop across gaps can suddenly need a gravity flip to walk across the ceiling, or a portal jump to skip a laser grid entirely instead of timing your way past it. Levels are short enough to replay once you know the solution, which is where the game’s time-attack side comes in — solving a level and solving it fast turn out to be two different puzzles.
Controls
- Move: A/D or the left/right arrow keys
- Use your selected action (jump, dash, toggle, teleport, etc.): W, spacebar, or the up arrow key
- Reset the level: R
- Menu: Esc or B
- Also playable by tapping on phone and tablet
Tips that actually help
- Count your remaining actions before committing to a move — running out one step from the exit is the most common way to fail a level, not bad timing.
- If a level includes a laser, check whether toggling it off is one of your available actions before you try to route around it instead.
- A gap that looks uncrossable from the floor is often solved by flipping gravity and walking it from the ceiling — look up before assuming a route is blocked.
- Pick up bonus-action icons even on a route where you don’t need them; they can bail you out on a later attempt where you take a different path.
