Retro Highway
Retro Highway drops you on an infinite stretch of neon-lit road at night, riding a chopper that never stops accelerating. The whole game is about reading the lane ahead a half-second before you need to: weave between cars and trucks, skim past oncoming headlights, and grab coins without clipping a bumper. There’s no track to memorize because the road regenerates as you go, so every run is really a test of how calm you stay once traffic starts stacking up three lanes deep.
The pixel-art style keeps everything readable even at speed, and that’s the point — you’re not slowing down to admire it, you’re using it to spot gaps. Coins add up toward upgrades and unlocks over time, but the real hook is the same one-more-run pull of any good endless racer: outlast your last distance, or don’t.
Controls
- Keyboard: W or the Left/Right arrow keys to steer between lanes, D also steers right. Hold Spacebar for a burst of nitro.
- Touch: on-screen left and right buttons to change lanes, plus a dedicated nitro button.
Tips that actually help
- Save nitro for when you’re already boxed into a lane with no clean gap — it punches you past traffic instead of just adding speed you don’t need.
- Watch the lane your bike is already drifting toward, not the one you’re currently in — steering has a beat of lag, so late corrections are how most crashes happen.
- Coins are worth grabbing when they’re in your path, not worth detouring for — a swerve to chase one is usually what causes the next collision.
