Scrap Metal is a 3D driving sandbox that hands you the keys to an array of high-performance sports cars, rally vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks in an open stunt playground. Unlike traditional racing games with fixed track layouts and lap timers, it focuses entirely on open-ended automotive physics, high-flying jumps, and dramatic vehicle deformation.
Whether you want to test top speeds on long straightaways, drift around sharp bends, or launch off steep earthen ramps, every vehicle offers distinct weight distribution and handling. You can also use the built-in sandbox tools to spawn and position ramps, loops, and obstacles across the map to craft your own custom stunt trials.
Game Controls
- WASD / Arrow Keys: Steer, accelerate, and reverse

- Match Vehicle to Terrain: Low-slung sports cars offer maximum acceleration on flat ground, while off-road buggies and trucks absorb hard jump landings without losing steering control.
- Reset Alignment After Crashes: Heavy impacts deform the car chassis and pull steering to one side. Press R after a collision to instantly repair damage and restore handling.
- Chain Obstacles for Maximum Airtime: When building custom stunt runs, space ramps progressively further apart so you can maintain momentum between jumps.
