Snake.is MLG Edition takes the familiar slithering arena formula and injects it with an unrelenting dose of internet meme culture. Instead of glowing orbs, your snake devours Mountain Dew, Doritos, and hitmarkers while navigating a chaotic map filled with flashing MLG visuals and loud audio cues. It is loud, fast-paced, and constantly trying to distract you from the core objective: surviving and growing to dominate the leaderboard.
A typical session starts small, weaving between larger snakes to pick up the leftover mass of defeated players. As you grow, the gameplay shifts from nimble evasion to strategic trapping. You will need to use your boost carefully, as it sacrifices a portion of your hard-earned size for a burst of speed, allowing you to cut off opponents and force them to crash into your side.
Controls
- Mouse: Move your cursor to steer your snake around the arena.
- Left Click (Hold): Activate your speed boost to sprint past opponents (consumes your mass).
Tips for Survival
- Coil around smaller prey: If you are large enough, encircle a smaller player entirely. Slowly tighten the loop until they run out of space and crash into you.
- Scavenge from big crashes: When a massive snake is taken out, there will be a frenzy for their loot. Dash in quickly to grab what you can, but be prepared to swerve out before you get trapped by greedy competitors.
- Use the edge: When being chased by a much larger opponent, hug the arena boundary. It limits the angles they can attack from and prevents them from fully encircling you.
