Spider Solitaire (Proxy)
Spider Solitaire swaps the single-suit layout of classic solitaire for ten columns of cards you build downward, trying to clear each rank from Ace to King so it slides off the board. Deal the tacked-up cards from the stock when you run out of moves, and work your way through eight full runs before the deck empties.
The one-suit deal (all spades) is the gentle entry point; two- and four-suit games raise the difficulty fast, since a run can only be moved as a block if every card in it already matches by suit. Reading the board ahead of time, before you commit to a move, is most of the skill here.
Controls
Play entirely with the mouse or your finger on touch devices: click or tap a card to pick it up, then click or tap the column you want to drop it on. Drag-and-drop also works if you prefer to move cards directly.
Tips that actually help
- Uncover columns before dealing a new row from the stock — cards dealt onto a column with no empty slot make it harder to dig out what’s underneath.
- Empty columns are your most valuable resource; use them to temporarily park a card rather than filling them back up right away.
- Build sequences in a single suit whenever you have a choice, even if a mixed-suit move is available sooner — only same-suit runs move as one unit.
