Street Fighter 2
Street Fighter 2 is Capcom’s classic one-on-one fighting game, rebuilt for the browser so you can drop straight into a match without an emulator or download. Pick a fighter, square off against an opponent, and settle it over a short series of rounds — first to two wins takes the fight.
The rhythm of a match is the same tug-of-war that made the arcade original a hit: punches and kicks for quick pokes or bigger damage, throws to break up an opponent who blocks too much, and special moves that reward players who learn the timing. Rounds are short, so a single mistake — jumping in at the wrong moment, whiffing a kick — can decide the match.
Controls
Every input here comes from the keyboard: movement keys walk your fighter forward and back and let you duck or jump, with separate keys mapped to punches and kicks. On a phone or tablet, on-screen buttons take over automatically so you can play without a physical keyboard.
Tips that actually help
- Block by holding away from your opponent — it won’t stop a throw, but it cuts down the chip damage from strings of normal attacks.
- Don’t jump in on a fighter who’s just standing there; a well-timed anti-air hit will beat you almost every time. Walk in and poke instead.
- Mix throws into your offense once your opponent starts blocking everything — grabs get around a guard that punches and kicks can’t.
