Tank vs Zombies puts you behind the cannon of an armored tank facing down a courtyard full of the undead, and the goal on every level isn’t just to clear them out — it’s to do it in as few shots as possible. Line up a shot, watch the trajectory, and let one well-placed cannonball ricochet off a wall or trigger a trap to take out a whole cluster at once.
Each level is really a small puzzle: where do the zombies stand, what can you bounce a shot off, and is there an environmental trap nearby worth baiting them into? Clearing a level efficiently earns stars, and stars buy new tanks — 14 in total to unlock as you work through the 200-level campaign. If a level has you stumped, there’s an in-game assist to nudge you toward the shot you’re missing.
Controls
Mouse: aim with the cursor and click to fire. Touch: drag to aim your shot, then release to shoot. No other keys are needed — the whole game runs on aiming and timing a single shot per turn.
Tips that actually help
- Look for a wall or surface you can bank a shot off before you fire — a ricochet often reaches zombies a straight shot can’t.
- Spend your stars on a new tank as soon as you can afford one; later tanks handle differently and can make a stuck level much easier.
- If you’re burning through shots on one layout, check for a trap tile first — baiting zombies onto it is usually cheaper than trying to hit them all directly.
