The Stones of the Pharaoh
The Stones of the Pharaoh is a click-to-clear puzzle built around a grid of hieroglyph-marked tiles. Every board opens with only two colors in play, so the first level clears fast — but each level you finish adds another color to the mix, and by the time you’re deep into a run you’re scanning a much busier grid under pressure to keep your remaining lives intact.
The rule is simple but punishes carelessness: click any tile that has at least one same-colored neighbor and the whole connected group vanishes, with bigger groups worth disproportionately more points. Click a tile that’s isolated from any matching neighbor and you lose one of your limited lives instead. That trade-off — hunt for the biggest cluster versus take the safe small one — is the entire game.
Controls
Click or tap directly on the tile you want to clear. There’s no dragging or swapping — the game only ever asks you to pick a tile, so it plays the same way on a mouse or a touchscreen.
Tips that actually help
- Scan for the largest connected group before you click — score scales up sharply with cluster size, so clearing one big group beats several small ones.
- Never click a tile you haven’t confirmed has a same-colored neighbor. An isolated click still removes the tile, but it costs you a life for nothing.
- Early levels with only two colors are the easiest lives you’ll ever save — clear generously while the board is simple, since later levels add colors and leave far less room for a wasted click.
