This Is The Only Level
This Is the Only Level plays one stage, over and over — except it’s never really the same stage twice. Clear it and you land right back at the start, only now the button that opens the way out might be somewhere else, your jump might not behave the way it just did, or your character might refuse to move at all until you work out what this round is actually asking of you.
The goal never changes: find the big red button, hit it to drop the green wall, and get into the pipe on the other side. Getting there does. Some stages flip your left and right keys, some cut jump out entirely, some hand control over to the mouse instead of the keyboard. The fun is in the double-take — assuming the last stage’s solution still works here, and finding out it doesn’t.
Controls
Arrow keys move and jump by default. Don’t lean on that for long — because the whole point of the game is that the rules reset each stage, a key that worked a second ago can be disabled, reversed, or swapped for a mouse click in the very next one.
Tips that actually help
- If a key suddenly does nothing, try its opposite before assuming the game is broken — reversed controls are a recurring trick.
- Give a new stage a second before touching anything. A few of the twists are visual, not input-based, and moving too fast means missing them.
- If the keyboard goes completely dead, try clicking with the mouse. Some stages switch the input method entirely.
- Read anything that shows up on screen. Occasionally the “instructions” are the actual puzzle.
It’s built for short bursts rather than a long campaign — a couple of minutes at a time, best played when you want one clever gimmick rather than a full level list.
