We Become What We Behold drops you into a town square as a photographer with nothing but a camera and a clicker finger. The square is full of little circle-shaped and square-shaped villagers going about their day, and your only job is to point your lens at whatever looks newsworthy and snap a photo.
Every photo you take gets broadcast on the screen in the corner, and the game quietly tracks what kind of “news” you’re feeding it. Point the camera at odd little moments and the town stays calm; point it at friction between the circles and the squares, and the broadcast starts rewarding you for finding more of it. Over about ten minutes the town’s mood shifts round by round, and a story about a sleepy town square can end anywhere from a quiet afternoon to a full-blown war between the two shapes, depending entirely on what you chose to photograph.
