Zooplop is a cute merging puzzle: drop falling animals into a jar and match pairs to grow them into bigger creatures before it overflows.
Zooplop
Zooplop is a merging puzzle game about a claw machine full of restless animals. Creatures drop from the top of a glass jar one at a time, and your only job is to line up matching ones so they combine into something bigger. Two mice fuse into a chicken, two chickens fuse into a crab, and the chain keeps climbing from there — the further you push it, the more the jar starts to feel like it’s about to burst.
There’s no timer forcing your hand, but there’s no pause button on gravity either: animals keep falling, and a jar that fills up to the top ends the run. The tension is entirely spatial — where do you drop the next one so it lands next to its match instead of getting boxed in by three different species? The stated goal is to keep merging all the way up to a whale, though most sessions end well before that with a jar full of near-misses.
Controls
Click and hold with the mouse to slide an animal left or right, then release to drop it. On keyboard, use A/D or the left and right arrow keys to move, and S or the down arrow key to drop.
Tips that actually help
- Keep one side of the jar clear for a “landing zone” — a wall of mismatched animals on both edges is what actually ends runs, not the center filling up.
- Don’t chase every merge immediately. Sometimes it’s better to park a small animal in a corner and wait for its match to drop rather than dropping something bigger on top of it.
- Watch the preview of the next animal before you commit to a drop position — planning one move ahead is usually enough to avoid boxing yourself in.
