Grow Island Grow Island

Order the engineering branches to develop a thriving island in Eyezmaze's classic Grow Island. Can you find the correct sequence to reach Level MAX?

Grow Island

Grow Island is an iconic flash puzzle game where you are tasked with developing a desolate island into a thriving, high-tech paradise. Armed with eight different engineering disciplines, you must carefully choose the order in which to deploy them. Every choice triggers a chain reaction: a built highway allows transport, a power plant fuels research, and a computer network automates operations. The key to the puzzle is the sequence, as the technologies must build upon one another to achieve maximum levels.

Each time you select an engineering branch, the island evolves, and the various items on the island interact. If you activate them in the correct order, they will all reach Level MAX, culminating in a complete civilization. However, selecting them in other orders will result in stunted growth, leading to various funny or unexpected outcomes. There is also a secret UFO ending to discover by following an alternate path!

Controls

  • Mouse / Touch: Click or tap on the panels to activate them.

Tips that actually help

  • Understand Interactions: Watch how different elements interact. For example, civil engineering (building roads and tunnels) is necessary before mechanical and electrical transport can expand. Similarly, architecture provides the housing for the workers who operate the aeronautics and computer systems.
  • Sequence for the Max Ending: To achieve the maximum level for all technologies and unlock the normal ending, activate the panels in this order: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Aeronautics, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and finally Applied Chemistry.
  • Find the Secret Ending: The game features a secret UFO ending where alien visitors arrive to celebrate. To trigger this “Congratu-alien-s” sequence, click the panels in this order: Aeronautics, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, and Environmental Engineering.
  • Observe and Adjust: If a branch stops growing at a low level, look at what it was waiting for. A chimney that doesn’t smoke might need more power, or a rocket that doesn’t launch might lack mechanical components. Use these visual clues to adjust your order in the next attempt.
