Squid Shooter
Squid Shooter is a browser arcade game where you pilot a squid through successive waves of enemy squids. Each level has a single goal: eliminate every enemy on screen before your health runs out. The health meter runs along the top of the screen, draining whenever an enemy or obstacle connects — once it hits zero, the run ends. Power-ups appear scattered across each level and are worth grabbing, since the temporary boosts they provide can make the difference in a tight wave.
Rounds are short and self-contained, which makes the game easy to pick up between other things. The challenge scales across levels as enemies arrive in greater numbers and obstacles become harder to avoid. There is no story driving it — just the score counter and a push to see how far you can get before the health meter runs dry.
Controls
- Arrow keys / WASD — move your squid up, down, left, or right
- Spacebar — shoot ink
- P — pause or resume
A couple of things that help
- Keep moving — a stationary squid is easy for enemies to track. Circle while firing.
- Grab power-ups on sight; they disappear quickly if you pass them and loop back.
