FNF Week 7 FNF Week 7

Beat Tankman across Ugh, Guns, and Stress — three escalating songs that make Friday Night Funkin' Week 7 the hardest chapter in the base game.

FNF Week 7

FNF Week 7 is the seventh chapter of Friday Night Funkin’, the browser rhythm game that exploded on Newgrounds in 2020. Your opponent this time is Tankman — a deadpan soldier character with a whole squad of identical clones ready to back him up vocally. The three songs in this chapter, “Ugh,” “Guns,” and “Stress,” build into some of the hardest note charts in the base game, with “Stress” in particular throwing dense rapid-fire patterns that separate casual players from committed ones.

The mechanic is the same as every other FNF week: arrows stream down four lanes and you press the matching key the moment each note hits the bottom line. Miss too many and Boyfriend’s health drains to zero; connect cleanly and it climbs back. What makes Week 7 feel different is tempo — the back half of “Stress” runs at a pace where any hesitation or finger-lift between notes turns into a miss streak quickly. It’s a satisfying climb if you’ve already cleared the earlier weeks and want a real test.

Controls

  • Arrow keys — left, down, up, right match the four note lanes exactly
  • WASD — alternate layout: A = left, S = down, W = up, D = right
  • Enter — confirm selections in menus
  • Escape — pause the song or go back in menus

On mobile, tap the on-screen directional arrows as notes arrive — the timing window is the same as on keyboard.

Tips for Week 7

  • Focus on the note lanes, not the characters. The Tankman animations are entertaining, but watching them instead of the columns is what kills runs on “Guns” and “Stress.”
  • Keep your fingers resting on the keys. Lifting your hands after each hit adds response time. A light resting pressure on all four arrow keys between notes makes fast alternating sections much more manageable.
  • Drill the ↓→ transitions in “Stress.” The song’s hardest passages alternate rapidly between the down and right lanes. Isolating that pattern in freeplay is the fastest way to push through the wall most players hit near the end.
  • Use freeplay mode to practice individual songs. You can access any of the three songs directly without having to pass the earlier ones first, which is useful if “Stress” is the only one giving you trouble.

Week 7 is a solid endgame challenge for the base Friday Night Funkin’ experience — if you can clear all three songs without failing out, you’ve genuinely mastered the original release. Other rhythm games on Pork Games are worth checking out if you enjoy this kind of timed input challenge.
