Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is a horror survival game where you play the new night guard at a retrofitted Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The original location was condemned and shut down, but the new building keeps the old animatronics around as backstage relics while a shinier toy cast runs the main floor. Your job is simple on paper: make it from midnight to 6 AM across five nights while the animatronics — all of them, old and new — become increasingly aggressive.

The main twist over the first game is that you have no doors. Your primary defense is a Freddy Fazbear head mask that fools most animatronics into leaving your office alone. Alongside it you manage a camera tablet to track movement throughout the building, a flashlight to check the hallway and air vents, and a music box in the Prize Corner that must stay wound to contain the Puppet. The Puppet ignores the mask entirely — once the music box runs out, it leaves its box and the run is over. Surviving means constantly splitting attention between cameras, the mask, the flashlight, and the music box, all at once.

Controls

  • Camera tablet: click the tablet icon at the screen’s bottom center to raise or lower it
  • Switch cameras: click any camera location on the map overlay
  • Wind music box: while viewing the Prize Corner (CAM 11), click and hold the music box icon
  • Freddy mask: click the face icon at lower left to put it on; click again to remove it
  • Flashlight: click the flashlight button to illuminate the hallway or check the vents
  • Look around the office: move the mouse to the left or right edge of the screen to pan

On mobile or tablet, all interactions are taps in the same screen regions.

Tips that actually help

  • Music box first. Check CAM 11 every camera pass and wind the box before the jingle starts to deteriorate. A dead music box almost always ends the run.
  • Watch the vents. CAM 04 (left vent) and CAM 07 (right vent) show animatronics on their way to your office. If one is close, have the mask ready before you drop the tablet.
  • Don’t let Balloon Boy in. If BB enters the office and you haven’t masked up, he disables your flashlight for the rest of the night — leaving Foxy free to attack unchecked.
  • The mask won’t stop the Puppet. No amount of masking compensates for a dry music box. Treat the wind as a continuous maintenance task, not a reaction.
