Learn to Fly 3 Learn to Fly 3

Launch a rocket-powered penguin toward the moon, earn cash per flight, and upgrade your gear across Story, Classic, Payload, and Distance modes.

Learn to Fly 3

Learn to Fly 3 sends a determined penguin to the moon. After two grounded attempts, the premise shifts: no more seaside cliffs aimed at the horizon — this time the target is orbit. You pick a sled, load it with a glider and boosters, set your launch angle, and watch the numbers. Each flight earns money based on altitude and speed, and the shop between runs has dozens of parts to mix and match. Four modes — Story, Classic, Payload, and Distance — give different goals so the game stays interesting long after your first launch clears the stratosphere.

A session has a satisfying rhythm. Tweak one part in the shop, launch, balance the craft while the boosters burn, collect earnings when the climb stops, and head back with a clearer picture of what the weak point was. Progress feels earned: the early flights barely break a thousand meters, but the same penguin eventually punches through the thermosphere once the right combination of parts clicks into place. The upgrade loop is the game — the rocket is just how you measure it.

Controls

  • Before launch: click and drag the launch arrow to set your angle
  • In flight: Left / Right arrow keys to balance the craft
  • Boosters: Spacebar to activate (when equipped)
  • Mobile: tap and drag to aim; tap left or right side of the screen to balance mid-flight

Tips that actually help

  • In Story mode, work through the missions before grinding for raw altitude — missions pay lump sums that buy better parts faster than farming distance alone.
  • Start correcting your angle early in the flight. A spin that begins at 200 meters can still be saved; one that starts at 2,000 meters almost never can.
  • In the early game, engine thrust matters more than sled type. A cheap sled with a strong rocket consistently outclimbs an expensive sled with the starter engine.
  • Payload mode scores on weight carried, not altitude — switch to the heaviest payload items and ignore gliders for that mode entirely.

Super helpful guide — really clear steps.
