Bob The Robber 4Sneak through high-security floors in Japan, dodge cameras, and neutralise guards in this careful and satisfying stealth platformer.
Bob The Robber 4
Bob the Robber 4 is a stealth platformer set across a series of high-security buildings in Japan. You play as Bob, a gentleman thief whose skills run to lock-picking, camera-dodging, and neutralising guards before they know he’s there. Each level tasks you with clearing the floor of valuables and reaching the exit without setting off an alarm — simple in concept, satisfying when you pull it off cleanly.
The game moves at your pace. You watch a guard’s patrol, wait for the moment he turns his back, close the gap quietly, and handle him before he can react. Cameras sweep fixed arcs, and most locked doors require a quick mini-interaction before they open. Mistakes are cheap — each floor restarts fast — so trial-and-error is built into how the game teaches itself to you. The fourth entry in the series is among the most elaborate, with laser grids, hackable terminals, and multi-floor buildings that stack complications as you go deeper.
Controls
- Arrow keys / WASD — move left and right; press Up / W to climb ladders or enter doors
- Spacebar — interact: pick locks, hack security panels, knock out guards
On mobile and tablet, on-screen directional buttons handle movement; an action button appears automatically when Bob is next to something he can interact with.
Tips
- Watch a guard’s full patrol loop before committing to a move. They follow fixed routes — the safe window opens when they walk away from you, not when they’re turning.
- Let each camera complete one full sweep so you see the exact dead zone before crossing. Guessing mid-arc is how runs end early.
- Always approach guards from behind. Walking toward a guard’s face triggers an immediate alarm regardless of distance.
- Pick up every item on the floor before heading to the exit — loot doesn’t carry over if you leave without it.
Bob the Robber 4 suits players who like logic puzzles with a timing element. Levels are short enough that replaying to try a different approach never feels like a chore, which makes it easy to pick up for a few minutes or stay for an hour.
