Doodle Champion IslandExplore Doodle Champion Island, a retro 16-bit RPG where you play as Lucky the Ninja Cat and compete in seven exciting sports mini-games.
Doodle Champion Island
Doodle Champion Island is a retro-style RPG and sports adventure originally created as a Google Doodle to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics. You play as Lucky the Ninja Cat, exploring a vibrant 16-bit island filled with hidden secrets, quirky characters, and seven distinct sports mini-games. The experience blends open-world exploration with arcade-style challenges, capturing the charm of classic SNES-era adventures.
The gameplay loop is built around finding the seven sport champions and challenging them in events like table tennis, archery, and skateboarding. As you travel across the island, you can join one of four teams, complete side quests for the locals, and try to earn the highest score in each event. It is a surprisingly deep and polished experience that offers hours of exploration and mini-game mastery.

Tips that actually help
Each mini-game has its own unique rhythm. In Table Tennis, focus on positioning early and predicting the ball’s trajectory rather than constantly reacting. For Archery, prioritize the targets that are moving or far away as they grant more points, and time your shots rather than spamming arrows.
Take time to explore the island between events. Many NPCs have side quests that unlock new areas, secret challenges, or extra lore that makes the island feel alive. Don’t rush straight from champion to champion!
