Sink It puts you at the helm of a small vessel locked in an ocean duel where precise timing matters more than raw speed. Facing off against another ship across open water, your objective is straightforward: line up your cannon and blast the opposing boat until it goes under.
Every duel takes place on unstable waters. Because your craft constantly rocks up and down on the tide, the angle of your cannon barrel shifts continuously. Landing a direct hit requires judging the tilt of your ship, anticipating the ocean swell, and releasing your shot at the exact instant the cannon points toward the target.
How to play Sink It
You can challenge the computer in solo matches or share the screen with a friend for local head-to-head battles.
- Spacebar: Fire the cannon for player one on desktop.
- Enter: Fire the cannon for player two in two-player matches on desktop.
- Tap: Tap and release the screen to fire when playing on mobile or tablet.
During a round, both ships bob on the surface while their cannons rotate or sway with the water movement. When you press the fire input, your cannon launches a projectile toward the enemy. If a shot misses and crashes into the water, the impact creates a surging wave. This wave pushes both vessels out of position, upsetting everyone’s aim and forcing both captains to readjust their timing.
Waves, falling items, and sea hazards
Missed shots are not just wasted ammo; they actively reshape the battlefield. Heavy splashes generate rolling swells that lift ships and throw off their balance. Skilled players can use this mechanic tactically, deliberately striking the water to disrupt an opponent’s rhythm or create momentum.
As combat continues, random items drop from the sky directly into the sea. Creating swells allows you to drift these floating crates toward your ship. Collecting these bonus items triggers special combat effects, such as temporarily freezing the ocean surface to halt all ship rocking and provide a stable firing platform.

- Wait for peak tilt: Do not rush your trigger finger. Track the natural rocking cycle of your ship and only fire when the cannon aligns with the enemy hull.
