Earn To Die
In Earn to Die, you are stranded in a desert surrounded by zombies, and your only way out is to drive. You start with a small amount of cash and a beat-up hatchback. The goal is to drive as far as possible through hordes of the undead before you run out of fuel or your car gets destroyed.
The core loop is all about progression. Every run earns you cash based on how many zombies you smash and how far you travel. You spend that money in the garage to upgrade your engine, tires, transmission, and fuel tank, or mount heavy weapons and rocket boosters to your vehicle. As you upgrade, you will be able to plow through obstacles that previously stopped you dead, eventually reaching checkpoints and unlocking heavier, more destructive vehicles.
Controls
- Up Arrow / W: Accelerate
- Down Arrow / S: Brake / Reverse
- Left/Right Arrows / A/D: Tilt vehicle to balance in mid-air
- X / Ctrl / Space: Activate rocket boost (once purchased)
Upgrade Tips
- Fuel first: Your engine and tires will not help if you run out of gas immediately. Prioritize fuel tank upgrades early on.
- Keep your balance: Landing flat on all wheels preserves your momentum. If you land on your nose or roof, you will slow down drastically and lose precious fuel.
- Save boost for hills and obstacles: Do not just hold the boost button on flat ground. Use it when climbing steep inclines or pushing through massive barricades of zombies and crates.
