Shortcut Race
Shortcut Race is a hypercasual racing game where your goal is to beat opponents to the finish line by collecting floorboards and building your own paths over the water. Instead of following the long, winding track, you can run off the edge and use your collected boards to create a direct bridge. It’s a constant balance between staying on the main track to gather more resources and risking a shortcut to get ahead.
Every match is fast-paced and competitive. If you run out of floorboards while building a shortcut over the water, you’ll fall in and have to swim back, losing precious time. The more boards you stack up on your back, the longer the bridge you can build, allowing you to bypass huge chunks of the level if you time it right.
Controls
- PC: Click and drag your mouse left or right to steer your character.
- Mobile: Swipe left or right on the screen to move and steer.
Tips that actually help
- Don’t jump too early: Make sure you have a massive stack of boards before attempting a long shortcut over a large gap of water.
- Steal from others: If an opponent builds a bridge, you can run on their floorboards to save your own for later.
- Stick to the inside curves: When staying on the main track, hugging the inner corners minimizes your travel distance and helps you catch up.
