Basketball Legends is an arcade basketball game by Madpuffers where you choose from a roster of cartoon superstar players and compete in half-court matches. You can run through a tournament bracket against the AI or share a keyboard with a friend for 1v1 or 2v2 games — local two-player is the mode the game is built around, and it shows.

Each match is short and direct: get to the basket, read the defender, and decide whether to shoot, dunk, or pump fake. Your Super Shot charges passively as the game runs — it hits harder and is harder to stop, but telegraphs visually, so timing matters. Defense works the same way: you can steal the ball or challenge shots, and a block at the right moment flips a possession instantly.

Controls

Single player

  • Arrow keys — move
  • Z — shoot or block
  • X — steal or pump fake
  • Spacebar — Super Shot

Two players — Player 1 / Player 2

  • Move: W A S D / Arrow keys
  • Shoot or block: B / L
  • Steal or pump fake: V / K
  • Super Shot: S / P

Tips

  • Pump fake first near the basket. Tap the steal/fake key when you are close and the defender is on you. If they jump to block, shoot right after — the window is short but the result is a clean attempt instead of a contested one.
  • Save the Super Shot for open looks. It builds on its own, so there is no cost to holding it. Firing into a defender who is ready for it wastes the advantage; a step of separation makes it very difficult to stop.
  • Block by timing, not by mashing. Pressing block too early just lifts you out of the way and hands the shooter a clear lane. Wait until the shot animation actually starts, then press — the timing is consistent once you have seen it a few times.
