JumphobiaGuide your character through hazardous puzzle-platformer levels in Jumphobia, where auto-jumping mechanics test your momentum, direction, and timing.
Jumphobia
Jumphobia is a clever twist on traditional puzzle platformers where manual jumping is completely removed. Instead of pressing a spacebar or up arrow, your character automatically leaps whenever you run off the edge of a platform. This single mechanical shift turns familiar platforming layouts into tense navigation puzzles where speed, direction, and precise placement dictate every jump.
Each level challenges you to reach the exit portal while steering through dangerous traps like spinning buzzsaws, crumbling floor tiles, and lethal spike pits. Because you cannot jump on command, clearing wide chasms requires building up momentum along flat surfaces and committing to your run before leaving solid ground.
Controls
- Left / Right Arrow Keys or A / D: Move left or right.
- Auto-Jump: No jump key is needed. Your character automatically leaps when stepping off any ledge or platform edge.
- Touch Controls: On touch devices, use the on-screen directional buttons to steer left and right.
Platforming Tips
- Commit to Full Momentum: Short-stepping near a ledge results in a shallow jump. Keep the movement key held down as you cross the edge to maximize horizontal distance across wide gaps.
- Use Wall Bounces and Drop-Offs: Pay attention to wall angles and lower platforms. Stepping off a higher ledge often gives you the height needed to clear hazards sitting below.
- Watch Tile Types: Crumbling blocks collapse quickly after touch. Plan your path ahead of time so you do not get stranded on a falling platform without a ledge to jump from.
