Two Neon BoxesA dual-control arcade game where you steer two neon boxes through obstacles on parallel tracks — each box has its own input, so your hands work independently.
Two Neon Boxes
Two Neon Boxes puts you in control of two glowing squares at once — one on the left track, one on the right — as a stream of obstacles scrolls toward both simultaneously. Your goal is to keep both boxes alive for as long as possible by moving each one clear of incoming blocks. Each box responds to its own input, which is where the real challenge lives: your hands have to operate independently even when your instincts push you to react as one.
There are no levels or checkpoints. The game runs endless, the pace climbs steadily as your score grows, and obstacles on the two tracks don’t always arrive at the same moment — so there’s almost never a clear window where both sides are safe at once. One box is usually mid-dodge while the other demands something from you a half-second later.
Controls
Keyboard:
- Left Arrow / A — move the left box
- Right Arrow / D — move the right box
Mobile / Tablet:
- Tap the left half of the screen to move the left box; the right half to move the right box.
Tips
- Look between the tracks. Fixing your gaze at the center lets peripheral vision cover both sides, cutting the reaction lag that comes from scanning back and forth.
- Suppress the mirror reflex. When the left box dodges, your right hand often wants to react in kind — it doesn’t need to. Isolating one hand’s movement from the other is the skill this game is actually testing.
- Identify your weak side. Most players have one track that ends their runs more often. Put that side in direct focus and let the other ride in peripheral.
- Settle in during the opening. The first stretch runs slow; use it to find your rhythm before the speed forces everything into pure reaction.
