Highway Traffic puts you behind the wheel on a busy multi-lane highway with one brief: drive as far as you can without hitting anything. You pick a car from the garage, merge into live traffic, and start reading the gaps immediately — trucks holding the slow lane, sedans drifting across yours, oncoming headlights closing in two-way mode. There is no course to memorize; the density shifts constantly and demands your full attention.
Coins scatter across the lanes and accumulate toward faster vehicles with larger nitro tanks. Nitro is the sharpest trade-off in the game: a burst on a clear stretch is a genuine shortcut to a longer run, but the same move into dense traffic closes your options so quickly there is rarely time to brake. The further you push, the tighter the road packs — and a single overcorrection at speed is almost always the end of the run.
Controls
- Keyboard: Left/right arrow keys or A/D to steer; Up arrow or W to accelerate; Down arrow or S to brake; Spacebar to activate nitro.
- Mobile/tablet: Tap the on-screen left and right arrows to steer; tap the accelerate and brake buttons to control speed.
Tips that help
- Read two cars ahead, not one. Watching further down the road gives you the extra half-second to plan a lane move rather than react to it. Reacting is slower and less accurate.
- Nitro only on open road. The speed jump amplifies every steering input — a nudge that would be safe at normal speed becomes a full lane change. Use it where you have room to run.
- In two-way mode, stay wide. Oncoming traffic clusters toward center. The shoulder looks exposed but is usually the cleaner path when the middle lanes fill up.
- Let coins come to you. A safe line that happens to pass a coin is always better than crossing traffic to collect one. The vehicles you unlock help, but a crashed run earns nothing.
