Retro Bowl Fan-madeA fan-made Scratch recreation of Retro Bowl where you call plays, aim passes, and lead your team through a season of pixelated American football.
Retro Bowl Fan-made
Retro Bowl Fan-Made is a Scratch-built tribute to the original Retro Bowl, the pixel-art American football game that spent years near the top of every “unblocked games” list. A fan recreated the core experience in Scratch’s visual-programming environment, which means it loads instantly in a browser with no installation. The pixelated players, the low-resolution stadium, and the offense-only structure are all here.
Gameplay is built around the pass. You pick a route, drop back, read the coverage, and release at the moment a receiver gets open. Get it right and the ball flies cleanly downfield; mis-time it and you are handing the ball over. Sessions are short by design — each drive resolves quickly, so you can play five minutes between classes or chain drives together for an hour without the game artificially padding itself out.
Controls
- Keyboard: Arrow keys or WASD to navigate menus and move players; Spacebar to pass or confirm a play selection
- Mouse: Click to navigate menus and trigger actions
- Touchscreen: Tap and drag to aim a pass; swipe to run or reposition
Tips
- Let the receiver run. The most common mistake is releasing too early — wait until the receiver has a clear step on the defender before you throw.
- Go short under pressure. When the rush closes in fast, a quick flat route or slant beats a sack. Move the chains and play the next down.
- Mix in the run. Even occasional carries stop the defense from teeing off on every passing snap and keep drives alive through the middle of the field.
