Among UsComplete tasks on the spaceship while hunting hidden Impostors — or deceive your crewmates and eliminate them one by one.
Among Us
Among Us drops you into a crew of colorful astronauts maintaining a spaceship, space station, or planetary base — but one or more crewmates are secretly Impostors. Crewmates win by completing all their assigned tasks (small minigames spread across the map) or by voting every Impostor out in group meetings. Impostors win by eliminating enough crew or triggering a sabotage the team can’t fix in time. The round ends fast either way, which keeps the tension high from the first step out of spawn.
Play alternates between two rhythms. The quiet phase is you moving through the map — fixing wires, uploading data, fueling engines — while keeping an eye on who goes where and who lingers too long near a body. The discussion phase kicks in the moment someone reports a death or hits the emergency button: everyone types accusations, builds alibis, and then the table votes to eject a suspect or skip. Ejecting the wrong person hands the Impostors an advantage; getting it right closes in on a win. Reading people — and making them misread you — is what the game is really about.

Tips That Actually Help
- Finish your tasks. The task bar is shared and public — a fully completed bar ends the round instantly for Crewmates. Leaving tasks unfinished while chasing suspects is one of the most common ways Crewmates lose.
- Track location, not just suspicion. Remember who was in a room when you last saw the victim alive. Concrete memory beats vague gut feeling in every meeting.
- As Impostor, use vents sparingly. Being spotted near a vent is nearly always fatal. A patient Impostor who avoids vents entirely is much harder to catch than one who uses them freely.
- Make specific accusations. “I watched Red walk into Reactor right before the lights dropped — and the body was in Reactor” is convincing. “Something feels off about Red” is not.
Among Us suits quick sessions — most matches wrap up in under ten minutes — and scales well from four players to fifteen. The social deduction format rewards you the more rounds you put in, as you get sharper at reading behavior patterns around the table.
